LA VIE ATTEND dancer-collaborator Joe Danny Aurélien will offer a bboying workshop during our stay in Moncton, N-B, for the Atlantic Dance Festival. Joe Danny has not only collaborated with many contemporary dance companies, but has foremost carved a path for himself as one of Montreal's pioneer bboys. 

Interprète de LA VIE ATTEND, Joe Danny Aurélien donnera un atelier de bboying lors de notre passage au Festival de danse atlantique à Moncton, N-B. Joe Danny collabore non seulement avec de nombreuses compagnies de danse contemporaine, mais s'est surtout démarqué en tant qu'un des bboys fondateurs de la scène montréalaise. 

PROJET FLY 2018

David & Emily seront les chorégraphes invités cette année à créer une oeuvre de 30 minutes sur six gradués récents de l'École de danse contemporaine de Montréal. Ils travailleront pendant six semaines en juin et aout 2018. Quel belle brochette d'artistes!

David and Emily will be hosting a three-day intensive workshop at Danse à la carte focusing on creation and interpretive tools.
Open to professionals of all levels.
November 14-15-16 // 9h30 - 12h30 // Danse à la carte (Google Maps)

This workshop will cover a number of creation and interpretive tools developed by David and Emily over the last few years of their practice. Participants will partake in a short class to warm the body and introduce certain key principles and repertoire, followed by a lab-style period during which performance and creation will meet. Emphasis will be placed the creation of choreography by means of event sequencing, through which we develop “counter-organic flow”, which pushes the participant to work at the limits of their capabilities and encourages them to expand them. What does that mean? Come and see!

Knee pads and socks are encouraged, and do bring a notebook and pen(cil).

 

David et Emily mèneront trois jours d'ateliers intensifs à Danse à la carte, portant un regard sur des outils de création et d'interprétation.
Ouvert aux professionnels de tout niveau.
14-15-16 novembre // 9h30 - 12h30 // Danse à la carte (Google Maps)

Lors de cet atelier, les danseurs auront l'occasion d'explorer différents outils d'interprétation et de création développés par David et Emily au cours des dernières années. Les classes débuteront par un réchauffement au travers duquel seront introduit des principes relatif au travail des chorégraphes ainsi que du répertoire. Suivra ensuite une période d'exploration où l'emphase sera mise sur la création de séquences chorégraphiques inspirés par la méthode, “counter-organic flow”, développée par les chorégraphes. Cette technique à pour but de permettre à l'interprète de rencontrer ses limites et de les repousser. Qu'est ce que tout cela signifie? Venez le découvrir par vous même!

Genouillère et chaussettes sont les très bienvenus, apporter cahier et crayon.
